Polikim  A.Þ. was founded by three engineers (MSc/PhD) in 1971 to produce and market top quality egineering plastics. Polikim A.Þ. continues its operations at its 6000m² indoor facilities.

Polikim A.S. first began to produce finished and semi-finished products from politetraflouroethylene, DuPont's Teflon^®, and later on expanded its product range to cover Kestamid^® (Cast Polyamide) and Ulpolen^®1000 (UHMW-PE) with a vast number of varieties and dimensions for different applications.

Now as a polymer center, Polikim A.S. develops solutions on engineering plastics, elastomers and composites. With its skilled team of engineers, deeply rooted experience and know-how, Polikim A.S. is well equipped to give technical support to its customers for product development, assembly and implementation. With its in-house mechanical machining facility, Polikim A.S. is very well positioned to meet customer demand both for semi-finished and finished products.

Polikim A.Þ. is proud to be the pioneer of production of engineering plastics in Turkey since 1971. Awards, letters of appreciation from government and private sector companies are evidences of the successful company history.

As many as twenty eight registered trademarks of Polikim are brands with highest brand recognition in the engineering plastics sector in Turkey. Polikim's trademarks such as Efalon^®, Kestamid^®, Ulpolen^®. Contalon^®, Poligraf^®, Polikort^®, Polital^®,  Kempomp^®, Kempak^®,  Kemgraf^® and the others are being used as generic names for products by endusers as symbols of technology and high quality.

In 2005, based on the yearly statistics announced each year of top ranking production companies in Turkey in terms of turnover from production, 72 out of the top 100 chose once again as the years before, Polikim as a reliable supplier of best value engineering plastics.
