DESCRIPTION

Compression packings provide sealing in equipment that make back and forth movements, rotations and vibrations. Sealing between moving parts depends on factors such as velocity, pressure, heat and chemical properties of the aqueus environment. Design of compression packing box, surface hygiene of mill and seats, installation technique of compression packing and mill discharge have an effect on sealing performance of compression mill.

Braiding structure of compression packing is an important factor that has an effect on operation life and performance. Polikim applies in its compression packings, a special diagonal braiding technique that provides a perfect square diagonal cross section. This kind of packing increases flexibility and resistance. Compression packings with special diagonal cuts can be bent easily even in smallest diameters to be used without deformation in their square cross sections. They have a tight braid composition and a smooth surface. In contrast to compression packings with plain braids and those with braids lapping one over the other, packing doesn't scatter to pieces even when surface is worn out. Special diagonal cross section increases performance
and operation life of compression packing considerably.

With the aim of providing superior quality packing, each thread is impregnated one by one with materials such as graphite, special lubricants etc. In this way impregnated materials are distributed evenly throughout the cross section of compression packing.
