Efalon^® (PTFE) does not have any adverse effects on human health within its operating temperature interval. It does not irritate the skin. It is food compatible. It is used without hesitation in kitchen equipment lining and other applications in food and pharma.

Efalon^® (PTFE) is used for absolute sealing of valve sets and mills conveying chemicals, steam, hot oil, water, oxygen, LPG, coal gas, cooling gases and similar corrosive materials. Very low coefficient of friction of Efalon^® and its non-stick property reduce the force necessary to open and close the valve to a minimum. Efalon^® valve sets and mil compression packings are hygienic, healthy, economical and durable.

It is preferred in manufacturing laboratory equipment as it is not affected by chemicals, is resistant to high temperatures and nothing sticks onto its surface. Burettes, bottles, funnels, stopcocks, flexible collectors, heaters, tubes, T elbows, magnetic mixers etc. are made up of Efalon^®.

Due to its non-stick property, Efalon^® is used widely in food, chemical, paper and packaging industries as lining material. Stickiness and clogging are major problems of many industries and can only be eliminated by lining metal surfaces with Teflon^®.

Due to its completely hygienic nature, Ulpolen^® is one of the rare substances that the human body does not reject. A special type of Ulpolen^® can be placed in the human body to function as knee-caps, elbows, orthopaedic prosthesis, artificial foot, arm, supportive components etc.

Wood and other plastics used in the food industry absorb water, blood, detergents etc. causing bacteria. Ulpolen^® does not absorb water. It can be used as chopping boards in butcheries, restaurants and households as it does not dull the knives, can be cleaned easily with hot water and is not contaminated by detergents.
